Aluminum Half Round Files
This file is made especially for use on aluminum and soft metals,
and is designed to rapidly remove welds and edges without
loading up, even on soft 1100. The teeth are cut so that the
aluminum “pins” release all by themselves. The half-round side
is spiral cut, and the flat side is single cut. These are great for
filing curved shapes, concave surfaces, or rounding out holes.
They do not cut as aggressively as the Super Shears. For a fine
finish you can use a fine mill file, but load it up with chalk first.
