Straight-Post Air Power Hammer (Model I)
The one simple, compact device that can save much "arm and hammer" work on small parts is a bench-top air power hammer. The Straight-Post Air Power Hammer (Model I) shapes up to 14-gauge steel, and easily planishes the tough metals–from welded stainless steel sheet to soft aluminum and copper parts that have been roughed or bouged on the bag.
Two dozen dies are available for various rapid shaping and planishing tasks. "Shaping" is defined as heavy forming work requiring rapid stretching, shrinking, or contouring. "Planishing" is defined as smoothing by light hammering. Shaping requires heavy force, while planishing requires only a little force.
Many people instinctively refer to all "air hammers" as "planishing" hammers, while neglecting the forming operations which must precede the planishing operations. In its truest sense, this machine is a "POWER HAMMER," and is also capable of "planishing."
This design has been in use since 1984, and one unit was recently tested for 2000 hrs. Since this tool is constantly in use in my shop, and in many other production shops, there is constant development, and refinement of tooling and parts for this product.

Angled-Post Air Power Hammer (Model II)
NEW design for getting inside hollow sections. We have designed a brand-new lower post and have modified the frame to enable hollow sections to be worked with any of our air units. This model is more expensive than the earlier Straight-Post model because of the design and machine work. We do NOT offer this as plans-built, and we do NOT offer a parts kit.

Z-Post Air Power Hammer (Model III)
For a long time there has been a need to planish or straighten deep inside the narrow openings, for parts such as airplane wingtips, motorcycle tanks, and various art forms. To meet this need we have developed the Z-Hammer. The design enables the frame to be fastened to the edge of the workbench, enabling very large round parts also to be worked with ease. The lower die-holder is integral with the extension arm, and is hardened, high-strength steel. Together with the other two frame designs, nearly every part of any shape can be straightened or planished. We do NOT offer this as plans-built, and we do NOT offer parts kits.
