About our Air Units
Since 2001 all of the Medium Air Units we have sold have been new, but we have sold them at the rebuilt price. As of January 1, 2004 all Medium, Heavy and Very Heavy Air Units are brand new. Some of the pieces for these units are made off shore, and the rest of the parts are made by us, and the complete units are assembled by us.
We firmly believe that no other air unit will match ours in performance and reliability. Since 1987 we have bought, tested, rebuilt, and modified thousands of air units to find particular ones that met our requirements for rate of fire, hardness of hit, durability, variability, and ease of use. There are only a few which do this. You are free to spend your own time and money to discover this for yourself. I have a photo somewhere of a huge pile of air units on my workbench, every maker, size and configuration you can imagine, over 50 units in one big pile. I have been through every one, used every one, and know little things about every one. Sand rammers, needle scalers, plating rack scalers, chippers, destruction guns, air chisels, rivet guns, zip guns, stone carving units, and palm nailers.
I have designed the tooling for my Air Power Hammer around the performance of a few well-chosen air units. My tooling works well for me. I am a professional metalman with many years making and repairing many different metals and parts for many different markets. This doesn't mean that I know everything about this.
