Hi Kent,

My name is John and I live in Australia. I was hoping you could steer me in the rite direction of welding a mountain bike frame of 4130.I will be making a full suspension model. What welding process do you recommend? The rage today is to TIG them up but after reading some of your articles I would say that oxy would be the go. I will need to purchase some equipment also. Could you suggest a set up for me, the little torch set up you have looks great. I also have to ask, is using a mig out of the question for tube of about .050? Thanks very much for your time, look forward to hearing from you.
John.

The Tinman Respondeth:

John,

The torch will work, as will the TIG. MIG on thin material is delicate work and may leave turkey poop. Is why we call MIG "manure spreader".

Our video set on 4130 is very good for this.
From the video you can decide what you will need.
