Premium Aluminum Gas Welding Flux
In 38 years of gas welding aluminum I have used quite a few different formulas, and my research has shown that at one time there were almost 50 different aluminum welding flux formulas in the United States. After several years of tinkering and experimentation, this formulation gives very good weld density and well- defined "ripple" on the weld bead. This premium flux is also very suitable for use as a back-up flux for TIG welding. As always, you should always use clean spring water and clean fuel gas when welding with this or any water-soluble flux, and keep it away from steel brush handles and stainless containers. The welding fluxes have indefinite shelf lives - if kept clean and reasonably dry. Caking happens, so break it up and go again.
Note: Use only good pure Spring water, such as obtained from local market. Evian, Geyser, Saratoga, A+, Nickolets, etc. Distilled water is not as good.

Super Premium Aluminum Gas Welding Flux
We have finally been able to produce this flux after many years. It was regarded as the best aluminum gas welding flux on the market, by Boeing, Douglas and the rest of the major airplane manufacturers in the U.S. It was originally formulated for welding 5052, so it enables a very fluid weld with fine ringlets and great penetration. For the best appearance welds on tanks and polished parts, this is the flux to have. Cleanup is the same as any other aluminum welding flux: hot water or steam rinse and a good scrub with a stainless brush. Yes, you can weld 6061, 1100, and 3003, as well.
