4130 Chrome-moly Steel Welding Kits

"We have 3 new kits for those wanting to weld 4130 Chrome-moly , (or mild steel):

Kit #1: 4130 Airframe Construction and Repairs to Structural Tubing (3 Videos), Meco Midget Torch with #1, #2 & #3 tips, Ultra-lightweight hose, and 1 lb. ER70S6 welding rod. zoom
	1. 4130 Videos Shows you the procedures necessary to construct a complete airframe from plans.
	2. Repairing Structural Tubing Video This video teaches measuring, geometry, straightening, cutting fishmouths, fitting, splicing, and welding to repair some fuselage damage.
	3. Meco Midget Torch We haven't found a more comfortable, accurate, adjustable torch! The Meco Midget is constructed of brass and fits hoses with type "A" size hose fittings.
	4. #N-1, N-2 & N-3 Tips
	5. Ultra-lightweight Hose This black twinlead "leader" hose is the lightest twinlead hose available
	5. Welding Rod The 4130 Chrome-Moly welding rod we offer is ER70S-6, in 1/16 dia.

Kit #2: Is Kit #1 plus welder’s headgear with standard shade 5 welding lens, and our handy special Fish Wrench which holds all torch tips and tightens all fittings on torch and welding hose. zoom
	6. Special Lens Headgear We've found the best, lightweight headgear that is out on the market.
	7. Meco 'Fish' Wrench The Meco Fish is a wrench set and tip holder unit for the Meco Midget Torch.

Kit #3: Is Kit #2 plus Victor regulators. zoom
	8. Victor Regulators These are the same regulators that I use in my shop to do professional metalwork and they are the same regulators that I use in my workshops to teach with.

This 4130 tubing "tee" was welded with the Meco Torch using ER70 S6 welding rod , which is slightly better than the S2 recommended on our 4130 video 2 tape set . Tube is 5/8 diameter and .049 wall. I used a #2 tip and the TM2000 lens in our headgear. Also see our: Aluminum Gas Welding Kits
