This power assist is specificialy designed to work with the Lancaster Shrinker & Stretcher models. The pneumatic cylinder uses a quick release pin to quickly switch between operations of shrinking or stretching allowing you to keep both hands on the part while you are working. You can manually set the air pressure to allow for softer strokes which will help reduce the tearing of the work piece when stretching. Speed control valves also allow you to change the setting of cylinder stroke speed giving you the option to work as fast or as slow as you are comfortable with. For heavier work the quick release pin can be pulled and the units used like traditional hand operated Shrinker – Stretcher machines.

Please Note that although there are many copies to the Lancaster shrinker – stretcher. It is our recommendation to only use the high quality Lancaster’s made here in the United States. These machines will not only fit perfectly onto this power assist unit but they are also made to a higher quality standard and will be able to take the added abuse the pneumatic cylinder will add.
