Video: Edge Those Panels
With a hammer and dolly, or the edge of a workbench, many types of bends, flanges, and hems are shown, and
common mistakes identified. The mysterious wired edge is covered in detail, and with simple hand tools. The
wing rib demonstration shows 2024 being slapped over the form block with a lead slapper, an aviation
classic.
Techniques for radius bends and stiffeners for tank construction are demonstrated, finishing up with the
rotary (beading) machine making beads, panel edges, and some fancy artwork.
