Video: Gas Welding Aluminum
Oxy-acetylene torch welding is covered in depth, starting with bottle safety, regulator pressure settings,
and torch adjustment for different material thicknesses from .040" to .063". Flux types and applications
are then discussed, followed by tacking methods, and distortion and crack control. Horizontals
("in-position") as well as vertical ("out of position") welding methods are demonstrated. Special attention
is given to proper eyewear, flux cleanup, planishing, and filing.

Kent,
Top notch work on that video. Clear, concise, and well-demonstrated technique. As soon as it goes above
freezing here, I'm going out to the workshop and try it.
Thanks,
Fred

This film
details gas welding with both hydrogen and acetylene, and then covers stick welding, carbon arc, atomic
hydrogen, and spot welding. Shows proper preheat and postheat methods for heavy sections, and proper edge
beveling and gapping also. An excellent resource! Rare information!
