This combo mallet has both ends radiused, one for gentle crowns at 4.00" radius, and the other end at 1.75" radius, The deep reach gets right into those fat shapes - without ruining either the handles or your edges. Perfect companion for our torpedo mallet, as the two mallets together give four common shapes. The heads are 10 inches long with a 5 in. reach from face to handle. The Hickory Log has a 22 oz. striking weight and is best used for shaping soft metals such as aluminum or copper, the Black Log has a 26 oz. striking weight which is best used for shaping steel.
