Aviation Snips
"For many years we have carried Wiss brand aviation snips, but recently we learned an important fact about their manufacture: they are no longer forged. Kent has used Wiss snips, often daily, for nearly 40 years, and Wiss was the brand used by the professionals he knew when he was growing up. His old pre-1970 snips are great, but Wiss has changed their manufacture away from those forged snips to cast ones. We now carry Midwest Snips. They are forged, and they are American-made. Midwest also offers "Special Hard Snips" for those of us doing stainless and titanium. We offer all of the many patterns offered by this excellent company, and are very pleased to offer you the best on the market today, Midwest Snips."

Midwest Standard Snips - "Offset"
"Offset Standard" models keep user's hand above the material being cut and they flow material away from blades for ease of cut. These snips have the capacity to cut 18 ga. cold-rolled sheet metal and 22 ga. stainless steel sheet metal. Offset snips have serrated edges on both top and bottom blades and are available in three cut patterns: left, right and straight

Midwest Upright Snips
Right angle blades make cutting easier in tight spaces or when working overhead. These are ideal for working with air ducts and thin aluminum. Due to the decreased leverage the capacity is reduced to 24 gauge cold-rolled steel and 28 gauge stainless.

Midwest Bulldog Snips
The "Bulldog" or "Notch" Snips, have a shorter cutting length but a larger cutting capacity due to the increased leverage. Easily trim or notch, 16 gauge cold-rolled steel or 18 gauge stainless. These are specially treated for cutting hardened sheet metals such as stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.

Long Cut - Aviation Snips
Long Cut snips make long straight cuts. Three styles are available – each cuts a different variety of materials. 1) Standard Long makes straight 3-in cuts. 2) Offset model flows material and is designed for cutting corrugated metal panels and other sheet materials. 3) Serrated blade model cuts soft materials only – vinyl, plastic, rubber, gasket, screen, etc.
- Cutting Capacity: 20-ga. cold-rolled steel, 24-ga. stainless
- Length of Cut: Offset 2-7/8", Standard & Serrated 3"

Midwest Special Hard Snips
Built to the same size and shape as "Standard" Midwest Snips, these "Special Hard" models are also specially treated for cutting hardened sheet metals such as stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium. These are great for doing short cuts in sheet metal. If longer cuts are required the "Offset" models are recommended

Midwest Special Hard Snips Offset
These "Offset Special Hard" models are great for making longer cuts in sheet metal allowing the material to pass easily around the blades and under the handle - similar to how a throatless shear works. This offset also allows for a much tighter cutting radius when cutting curves. These models are specially treated for cutting hardened sheet metals such as stainless steel, inconel, and titanium.
